Popcornflix is a free movie site with tons of movies in different genres that you can now stream without signing up for a user account. Free TV shows are also available. Selecting Movies brings up all the categories you can browse to find your next movie. The All Movies page includes a list of every movie thats playing but you can also select a genre to find movies listed such as Documentary Drama Comedy Action Thriller and more.
The home page has several useful categories to help you find your next movie. Popcornflix Spotlight contains general recommendations while other categories like Popcornflix Whats New and Trending Now make it easy to see whats new in the sites movie collection and movies people are enjoying.
One complaint we have that is just a personal preference is the left-to-right scrolling mechanism for category browsing. While this looks nice its often more difficult than regular list formatting.
Video Quality Could Be Better
Most of the videos we tested seemed to be of the same quality as regular DVD movies. I dont know the exact quality of the picture as I cant change the quality from the video but it certainly wont be high quality.
The video player is kept as refined as possible while providing the essentials. For a long time Popcornflix has a lot of unnecessary background options such as GIF generator and timestamp annotation. But now its smoother. You can restart the movie with just one click. There are 10 second rewind and fast forward buttons to jump backward or fast forward. Subtitles options allow you to select subtitles (for some movies) and choose the language in which the audio is played. The full screen button will definitely make your screen display only the video player.

Popcornflix is one of the best sites for free movies and TV shows with a powerful mobile app that offers a wide variety of free movies and decent video quality. We may improve certain aspects of the Service such as the quality of movies and the methods you can use to find movies to watch. For example most movie sites let you sort videos by popularity or release date and sometimes rate them but Popcornflix defaults to an alphabetical list and doesnt let you change that. Its still a great place if you want to avoid paying for a movie.
